| Okay, now that I have the first two tests out of the way, I have a little time on my hands and I would like it to be what is supposed to be left of summer, and now the rain begins, with no sunshine to be seen for a couple of days. Oh well, I know I can find other things to occupy a few minutes of my free time before I start cracking open those books again. I think I did pretty well on both tests, but I won't know until next week how I did grade wise. As I woke up this morning to the Johnny Dare show, he reminded me what day it actually was. Seven years ago today we were dealing with something that none of us in the United States have really any recollection about, or first-hand knowledge anyway, it occurred to me that on that September morning seven years ago my father was still here with me, and we were discussing just how quiet it really was. Without any airplanes in the sky and most of the town glued to the TV, I really didn't realize how good we have it, but then today my aunt emailed some pictures of that horrific morning and all that we have lost. At that moment, I just had to say a little prayer for all those who are fighting for my and your freedom. Stay dry this weekend, Rick |
